Hi there,
The word “coach” comes from the Hungarian word, “kocsi”.
Kosci were designed to transport people from where they are to where they want to go. It’s a useful and beautiful metaphor for what a coach is meant to do.
Practice Plans that Win:
Learn to invade space and protect the puck. This warm-up drill is a great way to learn the concept of “cutting hands” from a defensive and offensive perspective. Cutting hands is about invading your opponents space by driving your body through their hands in order to protect the puck on offense or separate the player from the puck on defense.
Ice Hockey Systems is the platform I use to design and share drills, practice plans, and systems.
Breakthrough Knowledge:
Breakthrough Knowledge changes the game…
If you want to enhance your focus, meditate.
If you want to enhance your ability to regulate your autonomic responses, practice breathwork.
If you want to develop self-awareness, journal.
If you want to build your resilience, take constructive risks

From Good Coach to Great Coach
Developing athletes can be a defining difference in the label good or great coach. Sure, there are some tactical wizards out there, but most great coaches get that distinction based on their ability to maximize an athlete’s ability to be successful.
